Who would have thought that Eminem of all people would give me words that inspire me to overcome:
And I just can't keep living this way
So starting today,
I'm breaking out of this cage
I'm standing up, Imma face my demons
I'm man enough, Imma hold my ground
I've had enough, no I'm so fed up
Time to put my life back together right now
I'm not afraid to take a stand
Everybody come take my hand
We'll walk this road together
Through the storm, whatever weather, cold or warm
Just let you know that, you're not alone
Holla if you feel like you've been down the same road

Personal change is the one thing that Jesus Christ preached. It is throughout the scriptures, yet so few see it and few practice it.
Many wrongly believe that Jesus Christ does it for them, that all they need is to believe and they are changed, but that is a false belief.
God never overrides free will and this means we participate in our change from within us. What ever pattern of sin we possess, God will help us remove it, but our part is mandatory. That is how God teaches us line by line, by going through our shortcomings line by line.
Trials, tribulation, ups and downs, are all part of our process of inner change, which is where personal change occurs. Remember the seed parable, the fertile ground versus the rocky ground? Those are metaphors for what we require and what we deal with within ourselves to succeed in personal change.
This leads me to say that personal change can only occur by the power of the Holy Spirit.
